Typical topics before the move
This can often be arranged before you move, using a power of attorney. You will need your NIF for rental contracts, utilities and opening a Portuguese bank account.
Birth certificates, criminal record certificates and other supporting documents you may need later for your registration in Portugal can also be prepared from abroad.
This is due within the first three months after arrival. The documents can be prepared from abroad, but the application itself is made in Portugal. We support you with both stages.
