About Tassilo Martin
I am a language professional and practical administrative consultant in Portugal, specialised in legal, notarial and authority-related contexts between Portuguese, German and English. I have lived in Portugal since 2003 and have worked regularly with Portuguese notaries, authorities, law firms and official documents since 2008.
Passkey Portugal grew out of that practical experience: not as an anonymous relocation agency, but as a personal support service for people who do not want language, forms and institutional responsibilities to become the reason their move stalls.
How I came to Portugal
I came to the Algarve in 2003 as an employed lighting and sound technician for a German hotel group. A few years were planned. I stayed permanently. At first, the language, administration and daily life were not a romantic expat story. They were work: understand, ask, make mistakes, learn.
From notarial appointments to specialisation
Later, I worked in the administrative department of a golf resort with many apartments and villas owned by German clients. That is where regular work with purchase contracts, notarial appointments, powers of attorney, property owners, lawyers and authorities began. Individual interpreting assignments gradually became a specialisation in legal and notarial texts.
Today
Today, I combine translation, interpreting and practical knowledge of Portuguese administration. I am not a lawyer and I am not a tax adviser. My strength lies where language, administration and implementation meet: understanding documents, explaining procedures, preparing appointments and guiding people through Portuguese processes.
