Document translation for authorities, notaries and courts in Portugal
Legal and official documents do not tolerate approximate translation. If a Portuguese deed is to be used abroad, or a foreign document has to be submitted to a Portuguese authority, terminology, content and formal function all matter.

Certified translations in Portugal
If a translation is to be used before a Portuguese authority, notary or court, formal certification is often required. This can be arranged through a Portuguese lawyer or notary. Before we start, we clarify whether a simple translation is enough or whether a certified version is advisable.
Important: The requirements depend on where the document will be used. For official documents, there is rarely a reliable one-size-fits-all answer.
Interpreting at court and notarial appointments
In addition to written translations, we also provide interpreting for notarial appointments, authority contacts and, subject to case-by-case assessment, court appointments. In these settings, language intuition is not enough. Legal terms and procedural situations have to be understood correctly.
